About Us

Kristin J. Ciuro M.P.T.

Kristin graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences in 1996 and her Master of Physical Therapy degree in 1997. She has gained experience in a number of settings, including outpatient therapy with an emphasis on manual therapy, geriatric care, and pediatrics. The majority of her therapeutic experience has been in the pediatric field.

Having had the unique opportunity to work at a Dolphin Assisted Therapy program, Kristin was privileged to work with children from all over the world diagnosed with a variety of neuromuscular, sensory processing and orthopedic impairments.  These impairments included Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Genetic Disorders, and infants with Developmental Delay. This therapeutic environment was not dictated by insurance reimbursement, but was rather focused on therapy for the child. Children were seen for one-forty five minute session-a day, five days a week, for 2-3 weeks. Following her work in this non-traditional environment, Kristin went to work for the school system in Brevard County where she became versed in the ways of Individual Education Plans, "IEP's".  In addition, she worked for several pediatric home care companies in the local area. Kristin was recently brought back to the concept of intensive therapy when she was introduced to "Space Suit" therapy, brought to this country by Izabela and Richard Koscienly from Poland. She received her certification in the Therasuit Method TM  at their Pediatric Fitness Center in Keego Harbor, MI.

In addition to her continued education within the traditional health care spectrum, Kristin has always had a deep appreciation for holistic health care and alternative treatment approaches.  She received her Yoga Teacher Certification from the Houston School of Yoga, and has taken extended training in Reflexology and the treatment of Sensory Integration Dysfunction.  Kristin holds firm to the belief that proper therapy must include a variety of treatment modalities. Therapy must be individualized and must provide family education in order to meet Labyrinth Therapy's idea of success. Together her experiences, understanding of, and love of special kids has culminated in the founding of Labyrinth Therapy and it's Intensive Therapy Program.

Through Labyrinth Therapy she hopes to guide many special children to find their own path.

Daniel Ciuro L.M.T. (License Number MA 42613)

Daniel and Kristin met in Tampa, Florida at a Swing Dancing Event. Daniel asked her to dance and in doing so, swept her off her feet...three years later they were married.  He has watched Kristin work with many children over the years and is a driving force behind her following her dream to better the lives of children with special needs .

He designed and maintains this website and also plays a large role in the marketing and day to day operations of Labyrinth Therapy.

Daniel's travels throughout the world exposed him to numerous cultures and sparked an interest in holistic medicine. His interest lead him to Brevard County's Space Coast Health Institute where he graduated Valedictorian in their course of therapeutic massage and bodywork. He is both State and Nationally Licensed and a member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association. Daniel now offers services to both children of special needs, and others in the local community.
